Today, Pluralsight released my course on Microsoft Test Manager 2013. I’m very excited and proud of this course, many of you probably learned about MTM with my MTM 2012 course, which was released last year. This course takes you through all the previously-found features and it includes all the new features found in 2013, including features found in TFS 2013 Update 4.
Some of the new features that you will find include:
- New Web-based testing experience
- Test plans and test suites as work items
- Shared Parameters
- Bulk insert & edit
- Clone functionality
- Test-related charts
The course takes you through the process of planning, managing, running, and analyzing test plans and test cases. This course covers scripted test cases, exploratory testing, and ways for you to gather the right information to generate bugs and get them resolved quickly. The course will take you from manual verification to full automation.
If you are a tester or on a team that uses MTM as a way to manage, run, and analyze test cases, this is definitely the course for you.
And of course, if you are preparing for Exam 70-497: Software Testing with Visual Studio, you should definitely pay close attention to the material covered by this course. Although this was not intended as study material for the exam, I’ve been told that the 2012 course helped a lot of people prepare to take the exam.
So take a look at the course and let me know if I can answer any questions that you may have!
